Vintage Men’s Omega Seamaster Watch – Omega Watch Boxed

I am proud to present this handsome classic vintage 1970s Omega Seamaster in solid 18ct gold. As I hope you can see it is in amazing unrestored, fabulous condition. As you would expect it is keeping excellent time and has no issues whatsoever. It has the very reliable 24 jewel, 552 movement which was made in the golden era of Omega watchmaking and is highly regarded amongst collectors as up there with the highest quality movements ever made. The watch winds and sets with no issues as I mentioned and of course ticks away accurately: So I would describe its time keeping as excellent. This really is a classic 70s Omega watch and although it certainly makes a statement I would describe it as discreet understatement of real quality. There are a few service marks on the inside case cover proving that it has been serviced and cared for over its life to date.

Automatic Wind

Working order keeping good time

The watch is automatic which for non-collectors means that one does not have to wind it: It will work from the movement of your wrist when wearing it although a first manual wind is recommended. The rotor which winds the watch turns very smoothly as it should do and again with no issues.
 The case is beautifully designed and is a good size at just over 34mm, where as some of that era are very much smaller. The 18mm lugs have a multi faceted angular design which means it wears large on the wrist. The case is hallmarked on the inside of the watch case 18ct gold as well as on one of the lugs. The solid gold case has the legendary Sea Horse logo known as the Hippocampus clearly embossed on the back: It is very crisp indeed and shows little signs of wear where as most are well worn down indicating much wrist time. 
I hope you can see from the picture gallery that the dial is in truly stunning condition. It has the classic raised gold Omega logo and ‘Omega’ signature and ‘Automatic’ at the 12 o’clock position. Signed ‘Seamaster’ and ‘Swiss Made’ at the bottom. Raised, applied gold and black baton hour markers with golden hour, minute and sweep seconds hands which are also in excellent condition.
