Where it all began...
I was always keen about horology and started my career as a horologist back in 2003, I was buying items from car boot sales in and around the South West area of England. I would restore the clocks and then sell them on to antique shops and markets. It all started off as a hobby as I was an illustrator at the time, but I was earning more money from buying and selling clocks than my full time job.
I decided to move on to better quality antiques and then on to clocks & watches. Its been an incredible journey and I never stop learning. The first clock I every brought was French 8-day striking slate mantel clock. I fully restored the clock and then sold it at Shepton Mallet flea market three weeks later, from then I was hooked.
Our Qualifications
I have worked closely with the British Horological Institute, completing all of their short courses. I have also achieved a diploma in clock servicing and restoration through the BHI something I am very proud of. I am an active member of both the British Horology Institute and the Watch Makers Guild. I have also completed short course on topics such as case restoration and dial restoration.
I hold both HND & Bahonss Degrees, with good all round clock and watch knowledge although I continue to learn every day. At Vintage Clocks I am incredibly proud of my Etsy star seller badge. I hope one day to have Richard Prices Job on the Antiques Roadshow.
