What Is A Bracket Clock
The term ‘bracket clock’ first came to light in the 17th and 18th century. They were given this name because to hang this type of clock on a wall, it had to be attached to a bracket to allow the hanging weight to hang freely.

Clocks that originated from the 17th and 18th centuries are most likely to be called antique bracket clocks. Whereas, clocks that were made later on (1800’s- present day) are recognised as mantel clocks.

How To Set The Time On A Bracket Clock?
Setting the time on a bracket clock is fairly easy once you are taught how to. Firstly, you should move the minute hand with a gentle force until your clock shows the right time. Then, each time the minute hand surpasses twelve, you will need to pause each time and allow the clock to strike fully. Keep in mind, you must never move the our hand as it could destroy the synchronisation and you must never move the hands anticlockwise as this could cause damage!
