A fantastic and rare Empire French mantle clock this is a classical French Clock made from solid bronze ormolu case fine original condition. The clock has some amazing ormolu mounts stepped case with great balance and elegance is a true classic antique. Wonderful French musician leaning against the clock dial.
French ormolu Empire mantel clock emblematic of music, the 3.25″ white enamel dial inset into a classical pillar surmounted by a lyre and attended to one side by a standing robed figure playing a harp and to the other with musical instruments fastened to a shaded pole, the movement with outside countwheel, silk suspension and striking on a bell, upon a stepped plinth and cone feet, 14.25″ high
