Antique Art Deco Westminster Chime Mantel Clock by Anvil – Working Order
Up for sale is a gorgeous 1930s Art Deco Westminster chime mantel clock. Manufactured in England by the Perivale Clock Works under their premium “Anvil” brand, this clock showcases classic Deco geometric styling. The rich oak wooden case features a striking arched napoleon/domed silhouette with stylized stepped art deco fan carvings flanking both lower corners.
The clock face is protected by a brass-bezel glass door and features clean, stylized Art Deco numerals, elegant black hands, and a Chime/Silent lever positioned near the 3 o’clock mark. Inside, it boasts a high-quality 8-day mechanical movement stamped with the British Anvil trademark. It plays the classic Westminster melody on the quarters and strikes the hours on a resonant multi-rod gong system.
The clock is in full working order and comes complete with its rare, original factory-branded “Anvil” winding key and pendulum. The original factory guarantee paper label remains intact on the inside of the rear door.
